A DISTINCTIVE IDENTITY
BORN OUT OF VINEYARDS, GRAPES, AND HARVESTS.
Our regional identity is ensured by our close ties with our long-standing growers who know the unique qualities of each individual vineyard.
Today Casa Sartori 1898 wines are produced in a region that, along with Valpolicella Classica, extends across the prime winegrowing areas of Soave, Custoza and Lugana, encompassing the entire province from the easternmost part across to the shores of Lake Garda.
Our wines are authentic expressions of their individual terroirs, a result of the richness of nature and the dedication of those who craft them.
BARDOLINO
E BARDOLINO CLASSICO
-
The area
The Bardolino area is typified by hilly terrain that includes the foothills of the province of Verona, an area of great beauty.
-
The microclimate
Extremely windy and sun-drenched, which benefits from the influence of Lake Garda.
-
The soil
The morenic hills are characterized by a very varied soil of glacial origin: sandy, gravelly and clayey. The area is home to native vines and a mild climate, which together lend Bardolino wines their unique character.
CUSTOZA
-
The area
Situated in the south-western part of the morenic amphitheatre of Garda, the encompasses nine municipalities: Sommacampagna, Sona, Villafranca di Verona, Valeggio del Mincio, Peschiera del Garda, Castelnuovo del Garda, Lazise, Pastrengo and Bussolengo.
-

The hills have diverse and variable soils, which are mainly light and interspersed with large gravelly layers. However, the composition of the soil is largely calcareous, a characteristic which lends the wines their sapidity and minerality.
LUGANA
-
The area
The area straddles two regions, with part in Lombardy and the other in Veneto. This difference is also reflected in the wine-growing area itself: firmer clay soils give way to more morenic soils of a more gravelly consistency.
-
The microclimate
The area is influenced by the temperate breezes off of Lake Garda, creating a mild and rather consistent microclimate, characterized by minimal variations between day and night-time temperatures.
-
The soil
Lugana soils feature stratified clays of morenic origin and a sedimentary nature, which are mainly calcareous. With their rich mineral salts, they yield intense wines with well-defined aromas.
